During the Union Budget presentation Monday, Jaitley said the government will increase spending on the rural economy, health and social sectors.
2.87 lakh for gram Panchayats and Municipalities is huge. It will help the developing villages on par cities in terms of providing basic amenities only if it is used effectively without corruption.
Rs 38,500 crore allocated for MNREGA in 2016-17, the highest ever if the entire amount is spent. Is again good thing to know.
So focus of this budget is on education, village development , farmers, healthcare and women.
Jaitley announces the nine pillars of his Budget — Agriculture and farmers' welfare, rural sector, social sector including healthcare, education, skills and job creation, infrastructure, financial sector reforms, ease of doing business, fiscal discipline, tax reforms to reduce compliance burden.
I think Arun Jaitley has taken a step in the right direction with the Union Budget 2016. Let's hope the implementation for the same is done in an optimal way for the development of the said 9 pillars!
